Kmart Warehouse and Distribution Centre for the Goodman Group
This major Northside project comprises a state-of-the-art 50,036m² warehouse for product storage and state-wide distribution, with 1,689m² of office space, located at Lytton, near the Port of Brisbane.
The facility is the centre for the distribution of Kmart products around Queensland.
The portal-framed warehouse was designed with grid spacing to suit Kmart’s operational requirements and the roof was laid progressively to maximise efficiency and safety. Careful planning was required to allow racking to be installed progressively and to ensure proper integration of power, communications, fire and lighting with the automated sortation system.
